Meet the 9b team

The 9b team is made up of certified data analysts, programmers, auditors and accountants as well as artists, educators, writers, and urban farmers.

David Paddock 

Chief Technology Officer

David Paddock is a highly skilled and experienced programmer and data developer. 


David came to 9b from Williams, where he worked for five years creating data analytic projects to facilitate corporate and operational audits. 

Before returning to Tulsa, David spent four years as an application developer at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, using several computer programming languages to create custom web and database applications. 

David is an advanced user of Galvanize (ACL), Arbutus, and SQL.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in Managing Information Systems from the University of Central Arkansas and a second bachelor's degree in Economics from Oklahoma State University. 

David Connolly

Director of Art & Design

David Connolly is a storyteller, communicator, visual artist, and educator of nearly 20 years. 


David comes to 9b from Crossover Preparatory Academy, a private, all-boys academy in north Tulsa, where he taught English and humanities for two years. Before Crossover, David lived and worked in the Dallas area for 18 years, maintaining a studio practice in the visual arts and a career as a secondary and higher education instructor. 


With a heart to return to Tulsa and give back to the city that gave him so much, David and his wife, Janice, a professional photographer, decided to return to Tulsa in 2018.


David joined the 9b team on the visual storytelling side to help inform and design meaningful, intuitive user experiences with data.

David earned both his BFA in visual arts and art history and his MFA in painting and printmaking from the University of Tulsa.

Molly Pickard

Communications Manager

Molly Pickard is a writer and content curator helping 9b data analysts report findings and tell stories after beginning her career in public media.


Molly manages project documentation, internal and external communications, and digital properties for 9b. In her multifaceted role, she has broadened her communication abilities to include public relations and marketing, grant writing, and technical writing. 

Before returning to Tulsa for this opportunity, Molly worked for nearly four years at KERA, the NPR/PBS member station in Dallas, Texas, in both the News and Digital departments.


Molly graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Oklahoma.

Alyssa Doty

Project Manager

Alyssa Doty has over 20 years experience working in the nonprofit and community development world and 15 years of program management. 


Alyssa joined 9b to help develop a data repository for nonprofit organizations in northeast Oklahoma. As the liaison between our analysts and clients, Alyssa plays a key part in needs assessment, data collection and standardization, and reporting.  


After spending most of her childhood in Venezuela, Alyssa returned to the U.S. to complete her undergraduate degree in Oklahoma. For six years she lived in Colorado where she completed her master’s degree and worked in Community Health Research, before moving to Tulsa in 2009. Her focus throughout her career has been on community development with a focus on community health, education, and social justice.  


Alyssa earned her master's in Medical Anthropology from the University of Denver in Colorado, a certification in Public Health from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, and her bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Studies from Oklahoma Baptist University.

Braden Pickard

Project Manager

Braden Pickard has a deep knowledge of organic crop production, native plant species, and local food resilience. He spends most of his working hours out of the 9b office, managing community projects.

On any given week, Braden is pruning trees in the Tisdale Food Forest; harvesting fresh produce from the farm at Emerson Elementary, Oklahoma's only public Montessori school; or installing reclaimed wood flooring inside The Joinery, a Living Building Challenge™ project just north of downtown Tulsa. 

Braden also collects harvest data for analysis, charts new and expanded gardens, educates young farmers, and manages a community-supported agriculture (CSA) program.

He earned his bachelor's degree in Finance from Oklahoma State University - Tulsa. 

Arianna Pickard

Arianna Pickard develops programs for data acquisition, management and analysis, including web scraping, calling APIs and building databases for 9b analysts.


She was trained in software programming and big data analysis in a master's of Software Development at the University of Utah before returning to Tulsa to work at 9b.


Before deciding to pursue a graduate degree, Arianna worked for two years as a news reporter covering courts and education at the Tulsa World.


Her bachelor's degree is in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of Oklahoma.

Nathan Pickard 

Owner, Chief Executive Officer

Nathan Pickard has 15 years experience as an internal auditor and data analyst.


Before founding 9b, Nathan helped establish a data analytics program at Williams. There, he worked directly for the Vice President of Audit, and while assigned to a vendor cost recovery team, created a tool that discovered over $10 million in over-billings. 

Nathan built his first data analytics project at the City of Tulsa, where he worked for seven years. His Expenditure Analysis joined together several databases and organized expenditures by commodity code at varying levels of detail into one system. This tool was used by then Mayor Kathy Taylor to target large areas of spend across departments. Nathan is now leading development of a continuous audit solution in partnership with the City Auditor's Office. 

Nathan is proficient in Galvanize (ACL), Arbutus, and Tableau software and a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). He earned his MBA from Oklahoma Christian University and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Northeastern State University.

David Osborn

Chief Operating Officer

David Osborn specializes in helping executives discover meaning and value in their accounting data.


David began his career in public accounting and earned his CPA. Early on he developed a passion for creating dynamic dashboards for clients using visualization and business intelligence software. 


Most recently, David was Manager of Due Diligence and Business Intelligence at ClearRidge Capital, an investment banking firm. Prior to that, he worked at HoganTaylor to assist with business valuation, due diligence and transaction services in the Advisory department. He started his career at BKD, a national professional services firm.


David graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Accounting.

Linda Hollingsworth

Linda Hollingsworth is a servant leader who has been helping businesses with management of IT services and systems projects for over 25 years.  


She began her career in the IT field moving from development to management roles primarily in healthcare and insurance, financial services and telecommunications.  She then moved into the field of project management where she earned her PMP (project) and CSM (agile) certifications.


Linda's passion is for helping clients to focus on strategic business priorities and the projects that support them. She follows agile methodologies to collaborate, deliver value and quality in the least amount of time, with an eye toward continuous improvement of team dynamics.


Linda graduated from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Masters in Business Administration.

Wendell Mitchell

Wendell Mitchell is a Senior Business Intelligence professional with more than 15 years of


As an analytics consultant, Wendell has worked with several large organizations in various industry segments. Many of these opportunities resulted from his tenures with Neudesic and Hitachi Solutions, both high-profile consulting organizations. Wendell has travelled extensively throughout North America partnering with organizations implementing BI solutions predominantly with the Power BI platform.


Wendell has been involved with Power BI since its initial release. He has contributed as a  mentor/trainer, best practice advisor, dashboard developer, and data integration specialist.


Wendell graduated from Western Michigan University earning a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics/Computer Science. He is also is a Microsoft Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCAS) with various formal credits in Power BI training.
