A large education non-profit organization wanted to understand the impact of their services. Through interviews with stakeholders and document analysis, we diagrammed sets of short-term outcomes that stakeholders hoped would lead to participant action, and how these outcomes would lead to long-term community impact. We reviewed their data collection practices to identify gaps in measuring these outcomes and the connections between them. The organization was able to use this information to make adjustments to their surveys and other data collection tools and to identify where further research is needed to better understand how their services lead to long-term impacts.
